Since becoming pregnant and having Jack, I have really wanted to make sure the skincare products I am using are non toxic + cruelty free. Most of the products I was using before pregnancy were considered “safe” with the exception of my facewash and toner; a few of the ingredients listed were not clinically proven to be “pregnancy safe.” I decided to try a few safer skincare products and while there are so many out there to choose from, I wanted to find something affordable and easily accessible at multiple stores. I have heard wonderful things about Indie Lee and thought I would try the travel kit first just in case I didn’t love it.
I used the travel sized products for about a month and loved them so much, I decided to stock up on the larger sizes! These products go on so smoothly, they have a nice fragrance, I love the glass bottles and you can find Indie Lee products all over – Sephora, Credo and Follain, to name a few. I have also been using Amar Botanica products which are 100% cruelty free + pregnancy safe.
** If you prefer more of an oil based product, I loved the Follain belly oil during pregnancy. If you want more of a lotion, the Amar Botanica Anti-stretch mark cream is great! As far as the belly oil, I love the lavender scent, and both products go on so smoothly and do not soak through your clothing like a few other lotions/serums I have tried!
My everyday skincare routine:
Morning:
1. Indie Lee Brightening cleanser
2. Amar Botanica daytime treatment- helps to even out skin complexion, reduce wrinkles and blemishes + prevents hormonal breakouts
3. Summer Fridays Moisturizing mask mixed with a few drops of the Indie Lee face Serum
4. Apply an SPF + Makeup
Night:
1.Indie Lee Brightening cleanser
2. Indie Lee CoQ-10 toner
3. Amar Botanica nighttime treatment
4. Summer Fridays Jet Lag mask mixed with a few drops of the Indie Lee face serum
5. Lip mask- I rotate between the Laneige and Summer Fridays balm.
- As far as any other face masks, I use this face mask 1-2 times per week: Ole Henriksen Glow Facial
As far as tanning lotion and keeping my skin a natural + even tan color, I have been using the Tan Luxe Tanning Lotion. It goes on so smoothly, just as a lotion would and is very gradual, meaning it will slowly build up your tan over time. I also love that you do not need a tanning mitt or glove, and it has such a nice fragrance. I use the lotion 2-3 times per week, depending on my color at the time and I always make sure to exfoliate in the shower beforehand.
I use this Buff City Soap Body Scrub in the Magnolia scent – it smells amazing and goes on gently. Their shower oil is also a favorite of mine – you can use BROOKESCHULBCS10 for a discount off their products!
